About the event
5 week course | Monday 13th April - Monday 18th May (no class bank holiday Monday 4th May) Each week, we’ll explore a different tree as our creative starting point, drawing inspiration from the form, character and stories that surround it. Holly will introduce a range of step-by-step watercolour techniques, alongside simple warm-up exercises and mindful creative practices, allowing your confidence to grow week by week. Over the course, you’ll grow a woodland of watercolour paintings to take home.
What you’ll gain:
Practical watercolour techniques for painting trees, texture and atmosphere
Increased creative confidence and a mindful approach to artmaking
Ways to use folklore and stories as artistic inspiration
A calm, supportive space to enjoy the creative process over outcomes
No previous experience is necessary, this course is open to all levels and abilities. Just bring yourself and an open mind!
Please note that materials are not provided, but a detailed materials list will be shared so you can create your own creative kit for the course and beyond.
