About the event
Beltane, also known as May Day, marks the very beginning of Summer, traditionally celebrated with fire and flowers. We'll take inspiration from foraged seasonal flowers and create watercolour wreaths imbued with your personal summer intentions.
You’ll be guided step-by-step in how to use watercolours or, if you have some painting experience, shown new tips and techniques. Holly will weave mindfulness moments throughout the session, to remind us that artmaking is about the process rather than any products.
Beltane is a time to sow new seeds for the season ahead and Holly will be sharing poems and mythic stories throughout the session to unfold these seasonal connections. You’ll leave rested and connected to self, with sketches and artworks honouring Beltane.
All materials will be provided and you don’t need any artistic experience, all activities are accessible for everyone.
