About the event

A calming afternoon dedicated to observing, painting and enjoying summer wildflowers at the beautiful Grow Wilder site.


You'll learn beginner-friendly painting techniques with step-by-step watercolour demonstrations from Holly. The afternoon will be woven with mindfulness moments, poetry and botanical folklore for you to deepen your connection to the plants we'll be painting.


Activities offered will be accessible for all levels and abilities, just bring yourself and an open mind!


What you will learn and take away

  • Easy warm-up drawing exercises to get you started with confidence

  • A range of watercolour painting techniques to enhance your skills

  • A mindful, relaxed approach to creating, fostering calm and focus

  • The joy of connecting with nature through your artwork


Bring your own art materials or borrow for £5

  • Set of watercolour paints including white, preferably pans not tubes

  • Pad of A5 cold-pressed watercolour paper (thick, 300gsm)

  • Round watercolour brushes with pointed ends (size 10, 4 and 2)

  • White ceramic side plate for mixing colours

  • Jam jar for water

  • A couple of sheets of printer paper

  • A pencil
